You always seemed so sure, that one day we'd be fighting in a suburban war. Your part of town against mine.

A quick post while I work on a bigger one for later in the week.  Rob Ford has announced his committee chair selections as well as his deputy mayor.  His appointments are after the jump.

Deputy Mayor- Doug Holyday (Ward 3)
Speaker- Frances Nunziata (Ward 11)
Budget Chief- Mike Del Grande (Ward 39)
TTC Chair- Karen Stintz (Ward 16)
Chair of Planning and Growth- Peter Milczyn (Ward 5)
Chair of Public Works and Infrastructure- Denzil Minnan-Wong (Ward 34)
Chair of economic development- Michael Thompson (Ward 37)
Chair of parks and environment- Norm Kelly (Ward 40)
Chair of government and management- Paul Ainslie (Ward 43)
Chair of licensing and standards Cesar Palacio (Ward 17)
Chair of community development and recreation- Giorgio Mammolliti (Ward 7)

I can say one thing for certain about Rob Ford.  He has a type.  If you look closely at this map, you can see a pattern forming.

It’s not a secret that Rob Ford’s base is the suburbs. We’ve all seen this map I stole from Torontoist. As you can see, the suburbs are pissed.

Looking at the two maps, the only committee chair whose ward didn’t vote for Ford is Karen Stintz in ward 16, who, shrill as she may be, would never waste taxpayers’ money.

Prescient, that Win Butler.
